Glasgow City Mission said the Glasgow Winter Night Shelter has introduced a scheme to allow dogs to stay with their owners through the night.
The dog-friendly scheme started last night.

A spokesman for Glasgow City Mission said: "We recognise the importance of dogs to some of our guests and want to ensure that those who own a dog will be able to get a good night’s sleep in the shelter, knowing their dog is comfortable and warm beside them.
"We thank our friends at the Dogs Trust for their generosity in supplying all the necessary materials and accessories to allow us to launch this scheme. We have food, treats, bedding and toys ready and waiting.
"We would also like to thank all our agency partners for their support in this change in the night shelter, especially the Lodging House Mission where we host the night shelter."
