A man has been arrested in connection with a murder that took place in the Castlemilk area in 2017. 

A 25-year-old was arrested abroad in December 2019 on a European Arrest Warrant in connection with the death of Jamie Lee, 23. 

The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, January 27.  

The 23-year-old Jamie Lee died following an incident on July 8, 2017.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a man arrested abroad on a European Arrest Warrant in connection with the murder of Jamie Lee in 2017 is expected to appear in court next week.

"The 25-year-old, who was arrested in December 2019, is anticipated to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, January 27.

"Mr Lee, 23, died following an incident in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow on Saturday, July 8, 2017."
