A former Celtic star has ranked in the top 20 best hairstyles in the English Premier League - but it's NOT Stuart Armstrong.

The Southampton star, 27, is well known north of the border for his slick haircut with Hoops fans dedicating a lyric in their song for the player to his locks.

"His hair is fine, he scores belters all the time," goes the tune, but not all football fans down south agree. According to research, Armstrong's hair isn't quite fine enough to make the list.

The study - from hair experts VO5 - polled 2,000 fans who thought Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane had the best haircut in England's top flight. Ex-Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk, now at Liverpool, came 11th.

According to the data, 42 percent of people polled thought hair was the most important part of a player's look, followed by his boots with 29 percent of people thinking they hold most weight.
