Police investigating the death of a young man on a motorbike have appealed for witnesses.

The 23-year-old died following the crash on Mountblow Road in Clydebank yesterday.

The motorcycle collided with a pedestrian and a Mitsubishi L200 at around 4 pm. 

Emergency services attended but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man and the pedestrian, a 36-year-old woman, were uninjured.

Mountblow Road at Dumbarton Road remained closed for around seven hours whilst enquiries were carried out.

Sergeant Nikki Taylor, of Road Policing, Dumbarton, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and we would ask that anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the collision to get in contact.

“The area would have been busy at that time of the day and I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage that may be able to assist with our investigation to come forward to police.”
