EASTWOOD Park Theatre has announced the launch of their first Scottish Film Festival, to mark the 25th anniversary since the release of Braveheart.
The film festival at the Giffnock venue will run from 7th-14th March, and include a week-long programme of Scottish classics such as a Trainspotting double bill, a screening of Brave, starring Disney's Scottish princess Merida, and The Wicker Man for horror fans.

A night dedicated to the music of Big Country is also planned, with a screening of Restless Natives - which was soundtracked by the Dunfermline rock band - as well as a tribute to their music from a live band.
Alana Friell from Eastwood Park Theatre said: “Our Scottish film festival features a week-long programme packed with Scotland’s best and most widely recognised films, featuring some of our best home-grown talent.

Tickets are priced from just £4 per film, available from Eastwood Park Theatre's website or at the box office.
