A vulnerable man has gone missing from the Shettleston area of Glasgow on Thursday evening. 

50-year-old John Bowman was last seen at 8.15pm on Thursday, January 30, on Torphin Crescent. 

When he was last seen he was wearing a grey knee-length dressing gown and his family is growing increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

He is believed to have access to a black Vauxhall Astra with the registration J14 HNB. 

The 50-year-old is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of average build and has tattoos down both forearms. 

He often wears a beanie and is not thought to be wearing the glasses seen in the provided picture. 

It is unknown what he is currently wearing.

Police are appealing for help in tracing the man and state he is known to have links to the East End of Glasgow.

Sergeant Dominic McLeod said: "It is out of character for John not to be in touch with his family or to leave his dog and mobile phone at home.

"He has never gone missing before and is known to frequent the East End of Glasgow.

"If anyone has any information or believes they may have seen John or his vehicle, please contact police."
