Celtic manager Neil Lennon has provided an injury update on right-back Jeremie Frimpong.

The young Dutchman was crocked against Kilmarnock after a late challenge from Alan Power at Rugby Park towards the end of last month. Hoops boss Lennon feared the worst at the time but is hoping his player will make a return sooner rather than later.

"We're hoping [Frimpong] will be back in training on Monday", the Northern Irishman said.

Lennon also explained Boli Bolingoli's absence and told how the Belgian will return this weekend. "Boli’s had a bit of time out and he’ll be back in contention for the squad," he said.

"Greg [Taylor] has played very well and, at the minute, he’s first in line to play. We’ve got competition in all positions."
