The entire country is to brace for severe weather conditions this weekend, forecasters have warned.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert, with more than 24 hours of severe weather predicted.
Gales reaching up to 70mph are to be expected for parts of the country, during conditions that could spark travel chaos.
The Met Office warning reads: "There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
"There is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs".
