A Glasgow mum has been left shook after a group of men sneakily snapped pictures of her seven-year-old little girl during a shopping trip to Buchanan Galleries.

Outraged, Lorraine McMenemy confronted the men after a member of public alerted her that they were taking photos of her child. The group admitted to taking the pictures before they deleted them in front of her.

However, the mother of the seven-year-old little girl is stil concered as she worries the photos could have been sent on before she asked the men to delete them.

She told Radio Clyde: "As a mum I felt anger that someone thinks it's acceptable to take photos of children they've never met before.

"They did it quite sneakily and zoomed right in to get the picture.

"I wanted to protect her and remove her from the situation."

Lorraine says security removed the men from the centre and police came to her home later in the day.

She was left bewildered after police told her there was nothing that could be done about the photography of her young daughter.

She added: "I was astounded that there's not a law in place to protect some of the most vulnerable people in society.

"I don't know if these men sent the picture of my child on to someone else and what use that's for.

"I really feel there should be a law to prevent people from doing this.

"Where is that picture of my little girl now?"
