An urgent appeal has been launched after a 64-year-old woman was robbed on Cockerhill Road.

At around 11.34am on Tuesday, 4 February, the 64-year-old woman was standing on Cockerhill Road near to its junction with Lunthaugh Road before she was approached by a man who grabbed her handbag from her. 

The woman received minor injuries as the theif used force to steal her bag, however she did not require hospital treatment. 

The man responsible is described as white, 15 to 20 years of age, around 5ft 10 and of slim build with brown hair. 

He was wearing a blue padded jacket, black jogging trousers and black trainers at the time of robbery.

Constable Sean Kennedy of Greater Glasgow Division’s Robbery Unit said: “This was a frightening experience for the woman and we want to speak to anyone who may have seen this robbery place, or has information that will assist our enquiry.
