A MUM has told of her heartache after watching her daughter endure a six-month campaign of violent abuse by bullies.

The pupil, who cannot be identified, had her head jumped on eight times by an older boy and suffered a concussion during a harrowing ordeal.

She has also been dragged along the ground by her hair, pushed in front of a moving bus and videoed while having fizzy drink poured over her, as our sister title The Gazette reports.

The girl’s mum – who has asked for her and her daughter to remain anonymous – has also been forced to give up her job to care for her daughter.

It is understood the victim has been kept at home since last Thursday.

Police Scotland confirmed a boy and a girl were charged in connection with assaults at the school in November and officers are currently probing reports of abusive behaviour at the school from last week.

The mum, from Paisley, said: “My daughter is absolutely heartbroken she is not at school.

“This has been absolutely horrific for us and it is putting my family under financial strain as I have had to give up my job.

“I resigned in November as my daughter has been constantly off school.

“My husband is now working two jobs at 74 hours a week.

“I feel totally unsupported and helpless.

“The school are not doing anything to help her and she doesn’t want to move because she loves it. She wants an education and these kids don’t, yet she is being denied an education.

“I am hoping me doing this will lead to other parents coming forward as I cannot be the only one facing this.”

The victim’s mum said videos of some of the attacks have been shared on social media sites such as Snapchat.

She also claimed a girl had threatened her daughter saying she was going to “crack open her skull” while in a classroom.

The mum added: “At one point a teacher had to actually drive her home because she was scared for her.

“I really feel the procedures police and the school have to follow protect the bullies and not the victims.”
