A man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl, along with two other men, while she was under the influence of alcohol and cannabis walked free from court today.
Mykolas Bogdanovicius, 22, originally from Latvia, who now lives in Glasgow, was cleared of raping the teenager at a flat in Burnfield Road, Glasgow, on January 3, 2015.
At the High Court in Glasgow prosecutor Bernard Ablett withdrew the charge against him.
Judge Lord Armstrong told Bogdanovicius: “The Crown have withdrawn the charge against you and I formally acquit you.”
Aivars Hauberts, 21 and Ailands Aleksanders, 22, are still on trial.
Accused of raping the teenager, who is now 19, while she was intoxicated with alcohol and cannabis and falling in and out of sleep.
Another accused Ludvigs Rudevics, 35, is accused of raping her at a flat in Ardencraig Road, Glasgow, on July 14 or 15, 2015.
A fourth accused Hardis Gindra, 27, is charged with having under-age sex with her on July 14, 2015.
All four accused deny all the charges against them.
In evidence earlier the girl claimed that she was raped at a party given for her 15th birthday.
The trial continues.
