RYAN KENT is confident Rangers are back on the right track after suffering two Premiership stumbles.

Steven Gerrard's side dropped five points in their matches with Hearts and Aberdeen as Celtic took control of the title race.

Victory over Hibernian last midweek was huge for the Light Blues and Gerrard takes his side to Kilmarnock this evening on the back of a Scottish Cup win at Hamilton.

There have been signs of improvement for Rangers and Kent is determined to keep moving in the right direction through a crucial run of league, cup and European matches.

Kent said: "I think so, in the last two performances we have got back to where we left off before the winter break. It’s important we build on those performances now. Where we were at the times, those chats [amongst the players] were important, especially coming from the more experienced and senior players who have been in those positions on many an occasion in their careers. For the whole team to get that info on board and know what’s required between now and the end of the season is important.

"It’s a difficult place to go, we’ve had many difficult games there. But if everyone turns up in the right mood and puts in the right performance then hopefully we can come away with a win."
