Sixteen police cars and three fire engines have been called to a disturbance on Argyle Street.
Police were made aware of a disturbance involving a 39-year-old man at 8.10pm this evening at John Moore Pub.
Police have confirmed that they are still at the scene.
A spokesperson said: "Police can confirm a disturbance involving a 39-year-old man at a premises.
"Police Scotland are still at the scene."
Eye-witnesses have been sharing their account on Twitter.
One person said: "All kicking off in argyle street. No less than 16 squad cars, some more in hope street."

There have been no casualties.
