Concerns have been growing over the welfare of a young man missing from Barrhead.
Twenty-one year-old Gary Young was last seen at 7am this morning in Balgray Crescent.
Gary, from Newtom Mearns is described as white, 5ft 6in tall with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a red hooded jacket, black shorts and black Nike trainers.
Inspector Margaret Brennan, of Cathcart Response Policing, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Gary’s welfare and we are looking for the public's assistance to trace him safe and well.
“If you have seen anyone matching this description in the area then I would ask you to contact police.
“I would also ask anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area to get in touch with officers."

UPDATE: Gary has been traced and is safe and well.
