Police are calling on anyone with information on a car crash which left a woman with serious head injuries to come forward. 

Cops have asked for dashcam footage of the incident which occurred on Calderwood Road in East Kilbride, on Friday, January, 31.

A car hit a pedestrian on the road where it meets Angus Avenue at about 6pm. 

The woman was taken to Hairmyers Hospital in South Lanarkshire, where she was found to have serious but not life-threatening head injuries.

Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.

Police said it was "not a hit and run" and were looking to piece together the events which led to the collision. 

Lanarkshire Police Division said: "About 6pm on 31st Jan 2020 a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car when crossing Calderwood Road, EK near the junction of Angus Avenue.

"We are appealing for witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to contact 101 quoting ref. 3012 of 31/01/2020."
