BORIS Johnson is being urged to sack a newly hired Downing Street adviser after it emerged that he previously called for universal contraception programmes to prevent a “permanent underclass”.

Andrew Sabisky was taken on to work on projects after Dominic Cummings’s advert for “misfits and weirdos” to work at Number 10.

But Labour have reportedly asked that the Prime Minister sacks the new recruit after previous comments came to light.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the 27-year-old researcher posted to a website run by Cummings in 2014, suggesting that birth control be made mandatory.

He wrote: "One way to get around problems of unplanned pregnancies creating a permanent underclass would be to legally enforce universal uptake of long-term contraception at the onset of puberty. Vaccination laws give it a precedent, I would argue."

Sabisky also gave an interview in 2016, in which he argued that giving children a dose of a stimulant drug used to tackle sleep disorders would probably be worth the life of a child.

Speaking to Schools Weekly, he said: "From a societal perspective the benefits of giving everyone modafinil once a week are probably worth a dead kid once a year."

The Mail on Sunday also reported that he did not agree with the Home Affairs Select Committee referring to female genital mutilation (FGM) as a scandal.

In another post on Cummings’s website, he wrote: "It is still unclear to what extent FGM represents a serious risk to young girls, raised in the UK, of certain minority group origins.

"Much of the hue and cry looks more like a moral panic."

And in tweets that are now deleted, the researcher compared women’s sport to the Paralympics, writing:  "I am always straight up in saying that women's sport is more comparable to the Paralympics than it is to men's."

The comments have prompted outcries over his appointment.

Shadow Cabinet Office minister Jon Trickett said: “There are really no words to describe Boris Johnson’s appointment as one of his senior advisers a man who is on record as supporting the forced sterilisation of people he considers not worthy.

“He must of course be removed from this position immediately.”
