PUPILS from across Clydebank and Dumbarton recently competed to become the P5 basketball champions.
The team from St Mary’s, Duntocher, took home the gold medals, followed closely by Christie Park, who came second, and St Michael’s, who were third.
Other schools that competed in the West Dunbartonshire School Games final at Clydebank Leisure Centre, included Gavinburn, Goldenhill, St Peter’s and Balloch primaries.

Around 200 members of friends and family were out in force to support the children – creating a fantastic atmosphere.
Organisers said that every team played some excellent basketball, gave it their all and showed good sportsmanship throughout.
