West Dunbartonshire Council is reminding parents about school closures during winter weather.
The local authority has told parents and carers that they should always assume their child’s school will be open during bad weather unless informed otherwise.
The council said they never post messages stating that schools are open. In the event that any school is forced to close as a result of extreme weather conditions, the council would immediately update their Facebook and website.

Parents and carers are asked to ensure that contact information held by the school is up to date to ensure any text messages issued are received.
