A COLLEGE has launched a simple new initiative to tackle food waste - giving food away to students.
All three of Glasgow Clyde College's campuses will give unsold food to hungry students every week.
After 3pm every Friday, students at the college's Langside, Anniesland and Cardonald campuses will be able to collect free sandwiches, pasta pots and snacks for free.

John Clark, Catering and Cleaning Services Manager says the move highlights the college's green credentials.
He added: "This initiative will undoubtedly help to propel our environmental efforts further by preventing quality food from being thrown out, but it will also act as a helping hand for any individuals who may be experiencing food poverty.”
