A WOMAN caught with large cash and drugs haul in her bedroom is facing jail.

May Ritchie, 60, was snared after a raid at her flat in Glasgow's Govan last May.

Police seized £30,000, almost £11,000 of heroin and £120 of cocaine.

Ritchie claimed her husband - who has since died - had brought "items" to the flat as he was involved with "third parties".

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard she added the cash was a mixture of an inheritance and drugs money.

Ritchie today admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of cocaine.

Gerry Brown, defending, said: “She was influenced substantially by her late husband.

“He had various pressures from third parties that involved violence to members of Mrs Ritchie’s family.

“She was put in a position by her husband who brought these items as a package into the house."

Sheriff Tony Kelly continued bail and deferred sentencing for reports.
