A CLYDEBANK family-run business carried out their first ever live build, converting a campervan into a dream holiday home.

Caledonian Campers, based on Glasgow Road, give their customers the ability to create the campervan of their dreams.

The company brought something different to the Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home show held in Glasgow.

The team – including designers, builders, and craftsmen – converted a simple van into a state-of-the-art campervan in just four days – and without any hiccups.

Isla Bisset, director of Caledonian Campers, said: “It was definitely a challenge, but the team did a brilliant job and managed to get everything done on time.

“I think visitors were quite amazed to see the team in action.

“The whole show was just brilliant, and I just want to say a big thanks for allowing us to let visitors see exactly what it is that we do.”

The Clydebank business specialise in VW transport vehicle transformations but also offers conversions for a selection of other vans.

Darren Brechin, show director, said: “This was the first ever live-build to take place at the show and Caledonian Campers absolutely knocked it out the park. The team have truly mastered their art and we were proud to host this ground-breaking achievement.

“The show has been a great success this year with many visitors walking away with their dream touring product and plan in place for their summer holiday.

“I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed watching the Caledonian Campers team in action and now appreciate what goes into creating the perfect tourer.”
