A man was injured following an "altercation" on board a train near Singer train station on Saturday. 

Emergency services were rushed to the station at 7.48pm on February 22.

The man had sustained a minor head injury.

The British Transport Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident.  

A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said: “At 7.48pm on Saturday, February 22, BTP were called to Singer station following a report of an altercation on board a train.

“Officers attended the station alongside paramedics, where a male was found to have a minor injury to the head."

She added: "BTP officers are investigating the circumstances leading to the assault and any witnesses should call 0800 40 50 40 referencing log 502 of 22 February".
