A gas leak at Clydebank Business Park required emergency repairs on Saturday evening and continues to cause travel disruptions.

The gas main leak affected train services to the nearby Singer railway station.

A ScotRail spokesman confirmed last night that SGN engineers were tackling a "major gas leak" near the Clydebank town centre station.

Services on the line are expected to be delayed or revised until 7pm on Sunday.

The line is closed between Singer and Dalmuir for "safety reasons" and services will run non-stop between Dalmuir and Hyndland.

Trains between Helensburgh Central and Edinburgh will be delayed or diverted, but services via Yoker are expected to run normally.

He added: "The works to repair the gas leak near Singer are expected to continue overnight."

Ticket acceptance was put in place on local First buses and services were diverted to Yoker.

SGN has yet to confirm when the repairs are expected to be complete.
