Concerns were raised after a man was allegedly seen walking around with a gun in Dennistoun on Saturday evening. 

Police rushed to Alexandra Parade after receiving reports of a man in possession of a firearm at 8.35pm. 

A weapon was recovered after a heavy police presence attended.

No one was injured as a result of the incident. 

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection to the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, February 24.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police in Glasgow have arrested and charged a 28-year-old man after officers were called to the Alexandra Parade area at around 8.35pm on Saturday, February 22 following a report of a man in possession of a firearm.
