A Parkhouse road will remain closed as emergency services have been rushed to a 'serious' incident.
At around 3pm, police officers were called to Ashgill Road following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
A man has been taken to hospital.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at around 3pm on Sunday, 23 February to a crash on Ashgill Road involving a car and a pedestrian. Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to hospital.
"Officers remain at the scene - Ashgill Road is closed between Birsay Road and Ashfield Street."
