THOUSANDS are set to flock into the SEC this weekend as Scotland’s biggest Model Railway exhibition returns for its 54th year. 

We have all suffered the annoyance of train delays and cancellations but this weekend’s event will be sure to put a smile on your face if you’re a child or an adult. 

Dubbed as an absolute must for model railway enthusiasts, the event will not disappoint as it will showcase over 50 layouts, 150 exhibitor stands, demonstrations and a limited edition model of the ScotRail Class 47.

Not only that, this year’s exhibition is an event of many firsts as many of the layouts will be making their first ever appearance on show or they will be visiting Scotland for the very first time. 

The exhibition will be supported by Hornby Hobbies, Bachmann Europe, Peco and Squires Tools who will be present to show their latest range of products.

There will also be a diverse range of trade exhibitors participating alongside society and railway interest groups who will provide an wide selection of exhibits for both the experienced and inexperienced in the hobby.

Glasgow Times:

The opening times are Friday 10.30am until 6pm, Saturday 10am until 6pm and Sunday 10.30am until 5pm. 
Advanced ticket holders can enter 30 minutes prior to the official opening times.

Ticket prices at the door are: £14 for adults, £6 for children and £30 for a family of four.
