Passengers have been stranded and flights delayed by freak weather in the Canaries.
A Jet2 flight from Glasgow Airport to Tenerife due to leave this morning has been delayed until 8am tomorrow.
A TUI flight to Gran Canaria from Glasgow was also delayed this morning due to a sandstorm passing over the Spanish islands, which has seen British holidaymakers stranded off the coast of Africa over the weekend.
Jet2 has confirmed there will be no flights to the Canaries today.
Departures from Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma and North Tenerife were able to take off this morning, with Jet2 flights from South Tenerife to Glasgow landing over the weekend.

A Saharan sandstorm grounded flights from the Canary Islands over the weekend with passengers forced to wait in airports overnight.
A spokesman for Jet2 said: "Like all airlines operating to the Canary Islands, the adverse and changeable conditions affecting the area since the weekend have resulted in flights experiencing delays or having to be diverted to other airports.
"We would like to apologise to all affected customers for any inconvenience caused by these extraordinary circumstances, which are completely beyond our control.
"Our teams are working tirelessly to look after customers and to get everyone to their intended destination as soon as possible."
