Adil Khan has been in business only four years but counts the Avengers, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and soon Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz among his customers.

He’s Bridge of Weir’s dry cleaner to the stars who has looked after the costume-cleaning needs of the casts of Fast and Furious, The Avengers and now as Glasgow turns Gotham, Batman.

A huge fan of the Caped Crusader, Khan said he’s “overwhelmed and very proud” his company Harrods was chosen to handle the film’s costume cleaning.

Film costumes are handmade and harder to clean than normal clothes, which is why Hollywood comes to Khan’s trained team in Bridge of Weir.

In the past, he’s dealt with the costume demands of huge Bollywood productions, including the upcoming 83.

The 30-year-old hasn’t had the chance to wash the famous Batsuit, but he has his fingers crossed.

Providing round-the-clock care for costumes and on-set touch ups is hard work but it’s rewarding, says Khan.

A career highlight was praise from the Rock on the set of Fast and Furious for Khan’s excellent service in doing his personal dry cleaning.
