A THUG wearing a white skull Hallowe'en mask threatened a terrified with a knife shop worker during a robbery in Bearsden.

Cops are now hunting for the bold thief who struck on Tuesday afternoon in Kennilworth Crescent.

Police said the incident happened in the Day to Day Xpress store at 5.20 pm and he made off with a three-figure sum of cash. 

The male shop worker was not injured during the incident.

Constable Scott Hawkins at the Communities Investigation Unit said: "The victim was left extremely shaken following this robbery. 

"The suspect is described as being a man who is around 5 ft 8 inches tall and was wearing a black coloured Adidas top with stripes down the arms and a white stripe across the chest, black coloured Adidas tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. 

"He was wearing what is being described as a white skull Hallowe'en type mask. 

"I am asking for anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Day to Day Xpress shop just before or after this incident to come forward if they saw or heard anything which might help us in this enquiry.
