A man has been arrested after allegedly robbing a flat in Renfrewshire - but only after his own mum phoned the police on him.
A number of items were allegedly stolen from a property in Kilbarchan Road, Johnstone, at around 6pm yesterday.
Officers say a man entered the home before returning to a flat he shared with his mum next door, as our sister title The Gazette reports.

But the pair got into an argument and she called in the police.
She then showed them the man's alleged haul of goods.
A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and was due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court today.
