A GROUP of Glasgow children have stormed a TV dance competition, reaching the semi-finals tonight.
Dancepoint, made up entirely of children aged 11 to 18 from schools in and around Glasgow, have seen off older and more seasoned rivals to reach the semi-finals of the BBC’s Greatest Dancer.
Robert Hamilton, Dancepoint’s founder and choreographer, said he and the children were “very excited” to reach the final stages of the competition.

Mentored on the show by Todrick Hall – who Robert says the crew love spending time with – the team have brushed off much older and more experienced rivals over 10 episodes.
Hamilton said: “A lot of the competition are professionals so the kids have been pushing themselves really hard to keep up with the competition and I think they’ve done really well.”
The young Glasgow group will compete for their place in the final of the Greatest Dancer on BBC One at 6:30pm tonight.
