TENANTS’ unions are to hold a public meeting tonight in protest against rent rises.
The Wyndford and Broomhill action groups say more than 500 tenants have signed a petition opposing plans by Cube Housing to introduce “above inflation” rent hikes.
The housing provider is said to be planning an increase of between 3.5 and 4.4% next month.

Nick Durie of Living Rent said: “We have amassed 500 tenant signatures against the increase.
“Cube Housing’s Managing Director, Laura Henderson has been invited to attend, so we hope that tenants will have the opportunity to raise their opposition with her.”
A spokesman for Cube said: “We’re happy to meet with any tenants who have concerns about their rent and are here to help anyone who has difficulty paying.”
The meeting is due to be held at 7pm tonight at Maryhill Burgh Halls.
