CELTIC Park, and The Emirates would be better served
with a rail line (Celtic to challenge council over missing details in parking zone plan, Thursday).
The obliteration by Beeching cuts in 1964 saw both Tollcross and Parkhead stations closed for good.
Perhaps the Get Glasgow Moving campaign can push
for a Subway extension spur
that will head eastward in the future.

TO get a country wrong is a clear sign that the people dealing with it have not read the information/ evidence properly and shows a total lack of care (Home Office tell 83-year-old Chilean dad in Glasgow to go home to...Nigeria, Thursday).

IT is over the top. More than 2000 people die every year from the common flu in the UK.
And out of 67million people in the UK only six old people that were in poor health and in and out of hospital have died.
I feel sorry for these people and their families. Why does the government not tell us how many people die every day from common flu?

WITH regards to the Stereophonics gig on Wednesday night at the SSE Hydro – it was nothing but the best.
The guys were amazing. They know how to put on a show. Until next time.

I’M a big fan of your Glasgowist feature on a Thursday.
I love seeing who the latest No1 is in the Glasgow Restaurant Power Rankings.
It certainly gives you inspiration for new places to try out.
It shows Glasgow is not lacking when it comes to top restaurants.

THIS issue has became critical now and it makes sense to
play all games behind closed doors right away (‘Rangers vs Celtic should be postponed’: Labour MSP Monica Lennon calls for ‘common sense’ amid Sturgeon mass gathering plan, ET online).
I appreciate this is the biggest and most popular game in the footballing calendar but people’s health is more important.

I’M SURPRISED the Old Firm match on Sunday isn’t being played behind closed doors.
Surely having 50,000 fans converging at one venue isn’t a wise idea if we’re trying to prevent the spread of coronavirus?
Also, it would appear to be a poor use of police resources when it could be put to better use.

I WAS pleased to read the length of sentence Harvey Weinstein received. Some of the claims made were shocking.
