They did not have any known coronavirus exposure and had not travelled outside the country.

Crookston Medical Centre on Dalmellington Road was working as normal on Wednesday and Thursday with no staff exhibiting any symptoms of the illness.

A GP has self-isolated after feeling unwell on Thursday, March 12 and had not attended to the practice on Friday.

Doctor William Graham has advised patients to the surgery to self-isolate if they exhibit any symptoms.

In a statement he added: "Patients who attended the surgery on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday were deemed to be low risk by Public Health but this, of course, will be of little reassurance to those patients who did attend.

"After some preliminary tests and advice we will contact all patients who may have had some inadvertent exposure to the patient with a positive result."

Public Health was informed of the result and has advised the practice on how to proceed.
