A CITY community centre was visited by a person who has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Glasgow Times has learned that the individual was in Cranhill Community Centre in the city's North East on March 9.
The facility, situated on Bell Rock Street, is home to a popular soft play area that is used by children from three to five years old.
The centre also hosts a variety of fitness classes and a senior social event.
Glasgow Life, who run the facility, said that they had been made aware of the positive test yesterday.
The organisation, however, will not close the community centre as they say that their daily cleaning regime is sufficient to eliminate viruses.
A spokesman for Glasgow Life said: "We have been made aware someone who has recently tested positive for coronavirus visited Cranhill Community Centre seven days ago (March 9).
"Glasgow Life continues to observe and follow Scottish Government and NHS advice on the coronavirus.
"Our advice is the daily cleaning regime at our venues is sufficient to eliminate viruses and no-one should have any concerns about visiting Cranhill Community Centre.”
