THE Glasgow Times attended Drumchapel’s March Community Council meeting.
Locals put forward calls to fix burdening potholes in the area and asked for drains to be cleaned where it was suggested blockages were sparking floods on pavements and on roads.
Complaints were also submitted from members of the public regarding rat infestations in certain parts of the community.
The board announced that there are 25 modern apprenticeship opportunities upcoming within the community for those aged between 16 and 20-years-old for playgroup assistant roles.
A discussion was held regarding a grant for a public entertainment license which would see two sunbeds installed in a bidding salon above a licensed bookies.
Calls were also put forward by the board and members of the public to put the area’s bowling greens “back to the community”.
