A CRACK team of cops have been tasked with tackling a recent spate of robberies.
At a meeting of the Maryhill and Summerston Community Council, officers told how the police had set up a dedicated team to address concerns around local thugs trying doors in the North Glasgow neighbourhood.
Officers told of three car break-ins and one home robbery at the meeting on Tuesday, March 10.
The two cops informed the community council two women had been arrested in connection with theft.
Community representatives expressed concern about a spike in recent incidents.
Police Scotland advise residents to keep their doors and windows securely locked at all times and to keep keys hidden and out of reach of thieves.
Residents are also advised against posting on social media when they are away on holiday, in case they advertise their property as a target.
