POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a missing woman with links to Glasgow.
Erin Lawrie hasn't been seen for a week after going missing in Prestwick last Wednesday.
Cops believe the 43-year-old may have travelled to Glasgow and say there was an unconfirmed sighting of her in her home town on Friday.
She is described as white, 5ft 1ins tall and with dyed long blonde hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was wearing when she was last seen.
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, area commander at Ayr Police Office, who is leading the enquiry in relation to Erin’s disappearance, said: “Given the passage of time and lack of contact with Erin we are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace friends of Erin and places she may visit. I would encourage anyone who has any information to assist the enquiry or knows of Erin’s whereabouts to contact Police Scotland.
“If Erin herself reads this appeal I would urge her to get in touch with us or attend a local police office. Erin is not in any trouble and our priority is to trace her safe and well."
Anyone who has any information on Erin’s whereabouts, is urged to contact officers at Ayr Police Station via 101.
