TWO men have been seriously injured after an incident in Glasgow City Centre.
Cops raced to St Enoch's Square at around 7.15 pm.
A witness said he thought that one of the men had been stabbed but the force could not confirm this.
The men have been taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
Police said they are investigating the incident in order to establish what happened.
A force spokeswoman added: "At around 7.15pm, police attended a report of two men seriously injured in St Enoch's Square.
"The men have been taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
Video footage obtained by the Glasgow Times showed a major police response with several officers at the scene and police vans parked along Argyle Street.
