COPS have launched an appeal after two men were hospitalised in a reported 'stabbing' in the city centre.

We told how emergency services raced to St Enoch's Square at around 7.15pm last night in dramatic scenes caught on camera by the Glasgow Times.

Our video shows a major police response with several officers at the scene and police vans parked along Argyle Street.

A witness told us he thought that one of the men had been stabbed but the force could not confirm this.

They were taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where they were treated for serious injuries.

One man, 34, remains in hospital in a stable condition while a 36-year-old has since been released.

Detectives are keen for anyone who saw what happened and in particular want to trace a man seen leaving the scene.

The suspect is described as white, of slim build, with short brown hair, aged between 20 and 30-years-old and spoke with a local accent.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a brown or khaki jacket, black hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and black shoes.
