Ally McCoist was hilariously shot down on talkSPORT this morning by Alan Brazil and Jamie O’Hara during a game of word association.

The Rangers legend phoned in to take part in the quiz before being slaughtered for his response to question regarding the Ibrox club.

McCoist went head to head against former Spurs midfielder O’Hara and Brazil in the game where the trio had to think up words back to back relating to each other.

Brazil firstly quizzed by saying Ray Parlour. McCoist responded with Arsenal and O’Hara followed up with Thierry Henry.

Brazil then said Zidane before McCoist went for his nationality, France. O’Hara then opted for Real Madrid with Brazil saying Steve McManaman.

Then things took a hilarious turn as McCoist chose Liverpool before O’Hara said Steven Gerrard and Brazil went for Rangers. McCoist then blurted “trophies”.

Radio host Brazil then hilariously responded: "Trophies!? You haven't got any this year you numpty! Just pop by Ibrox on your way home and look for any recent trophies. See you later pal."

McCoist could be heard laughing in the background before the show broke for an ad break.

We told earlier this week how Ibrox legend McCoist sent a message of support to fans across the world amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Ibrox legend took to Instagram to try and spread some cheer during difficult times.

He said: “Guys how we doing? Ally here! Just thought I would send you a wee message.

“We are in uncharted territory so to speak, it’s crazy isn’t it? Nobody knows what is going to happen. But the one thing we do know is it is times like these that we have to come together and look after each other.

“So listen guys if you have an elderly relative or neighbour needing a wee phone call to see if they are needing anything that is the most important thing.

“We’ll get through it but please look after each other, take care and we will see you soon.”
