THEY say people make Glasgow. Well, a pair of locals certainly lived up to that billing in a hilarious video.

The two men have gone viral on social media after telling an American man to "get to f**k" as he walked down the street.

The good natured clip kicked off with the man telling viewers he can't think of anywhere better to be than our city during the coronavirus pandemic.

"With everything that is going on right now with the coronavirus, I couldn't imagine of being in a better city than Glasgow," he says, before looking away from the camera towards two men in the street.

"Morning guys," he cheerily says.

"Get to f**k," replies one of the puzzled looking locals, before his pal makes another comment.

The man adds: "You can't write this s**t."

The clip has now been viewed more than 37,000 times on Twitter and viewers were quick to comment.

"People make Glasgow," one said while others simply called it "magic".

Another posted: "In Glasgow, that's a term of endearment."

One added: "Hahaha, welcome to the party."

However, some weren't so sure and accused the clip of being staged.

One said: "Good actors."

Another added: "Good try."

Whatever the truth is, we absolutely love it.
