Glasgow clubbers have been left stuck at home amid the coronavirus pandemic with little to do but fill their glasses and stick on Kerrang or Hits Radio in a bid to feel normal.

But popular Bongo's Bingo have a plan to shake things up and will provide a live stream of their usual insane evening to try and maintain as close to the status quo as possible.

We told how ALL clubs, pubs and restaurants have been forced into closure as First Minister Nicola Sturgeon followed Boris Johnson's plan to try and quell the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus. A move which has seen punters panic-buying booze.

Bongo's - usually held in Glasgow's SWG3 when it arrives in the city - will now provide a live stream on their Twitch service for fans and customers after recently having to fall in line and postpone all shows.

But revealing the news on their social media channels, the company said: "LIVE FROM THE BUNGALOW - TONIGHT! Who’s ready to PARTY with us from the comfort of their living room?! YES… that’s right!! After HUGE DEMAND we’re BACK on Twitch tonight fam! ⁣

"NO BINGO BOOKS REQUIRED & IT’S COMPLETELY FREE!⁣ All you need to JOIN IN is: ⁣1 UK registered mobile, a pen & paper⁣

The news comes as chancellor Rishi Sunak revealed the Government will step in and help pay people’s wages through a coronavirus job retention scheme.

“The speed of our eventual recovery depends entirely on our collective ability to get on top of the virus now and that means we have to take the next steps on scientific advice,” he told the daily Covid-19 press conference.

“And following our plan we are strengthening the measures announced on Monday. We need now to push down further on that curve of transmission between us.

“And so following agreement with all the … devolved administrations, we are collectively telling cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants to close tonight as soon as they reasonably can and not to open tomorrow. Though, to be clear, they can continue to provide take out services

“We’re also telling nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres to close on the same timescale."
