Police are investigating whether a man fell from a block of flats in Govanhill.

The man was found with serious injuries at the bottom of the block of flats on Coplaw Street at Inglefield Street near Govanhill Park on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene and he was rushed to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His condition is said to be serious.

The Glasgow Times understands officers are trying to understand how his injuries came about and are investigating the possibility he could have fallen from the tenement flats.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called around 4 pm on Thursday, March 26 after a man was found injured at the bottom of a block of flats on Coplaw Street at Inglefield Street.

"The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where staff describe his condition as serious."
