A MAN has been arrested for the same crime twice in two days.

The male driver was picked up on the early hours of Saturday, March 28 by the Roads Policing Unit in Prestatyn on suspicion of drug driving. A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "A male was arrested during the early hours of this morning in the Prestatyn area on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs. "Worryingly, this was the second time in two days for the same offence. "

In Novemebr last year, a similar incident saw a man was stopped on the A55 in Bangor after a positive test for cannabis and cocaine.

He was released following further testing and put under investigation with advice not to drive for 24 hours. However later that day officers were informed that the same man had been walking on the carriageway to get to his van, which was parked at a junction nearby, and driven back along the A55 to Manchester.
