POLICE are investigating the sudden death of a man in Bellshill.

The force was called to Calder Road on Monday morning.

They said the death was not suspicious and provided no further details.

Locals reported 999 crews at the scene this morning.

A force spokeswoman said: "Emergency services were called to Calder Road in Bellshill around 10.20am on Monday, March 30, following the sudden death of a man.

"The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
