As the lockdown continues - there’s some good news for those missing their favourite restaurants.
Walkers has introduced a new range of crisps, inspired by the UK’s most popular high street eateries.
Partnering with five of the nation’s most popular chains, the new Taste Icons range has transformed customers’ best-loved dishes into snacks.
Which restaurants are included in the range?
The crisp range features the well known flavours of:
- Nando's Peri-Peri Chicken
- Las Iguanas' Chilli Con Carne
- PizzaExpress' American Hot Pizza/Margherita Pizza
- Gourmet Burger Kitchen's Classic Cheeseburger
- Yo! Sushi's Katsu Curry
Offer to celebrate launch of new crisps
According to the Walkers website, two-for-one restaurant vouchers are included in every pack of the crisps, to celebrate the launch of the new products.
Addressing the lockdown measures currently in place, the website explains, “Clearly these vouchers cannot be used at the present time.
"As such, we've extended the voucher redemption period until December 3, 2020 inclusive."
What has been the response so far online?
Word of the new range has now spread across social media, delighting users.
Popular food blogger and instagram account, Kev's Snack Reviews, has shared one shopper’s findings of the unique crisps in Home Bargains to his 76.5k followers.
One user exclaimed, "OMG neeeeed."
Another follower questioned whether a trip to purchase these crisps were included in the government’s list of reasons to leave the home.
"What! Now?? Are these an essential trip out??? Argh,” they wrote.
