Glasgow university has announced it will host a major coronavirus testing facility within the city.
The body is partnering up with Public Health Scotland in an effort against the pandemic.
A spokeswoman said: "We have been able to make a small contribuition to The Scottish Testing Centre about to open in Glasgow.
"I hope this will be a huge contribution to testing medical staff, but all other health professions and to those in the community to fight the virus.
"I would like to thank all the volunteers.
"When we recorded this message, there were 500 plus and still coming.
"Volunteers would like to use their expertise, their labotary experience, to help in the Centre.
"Thank you all so much."
