A GLASGOW family cheered up their cul-de-sac by chalking their whole house into Rainbow colours.

Nikki Murray and her two girls Mollie, 5, and Mya, 10, transformed their semi by chalking each brick individually.

Nikki, 31, said she was looking for something to keep her girls entertained and started at first with the front door and the window before escalating into the whole house.

Nikki told The Glasgow Times: "I thought it would be nice if they could go out, get some fresh air and bring a smile to people's faces at the same time.

"I was devastated this morning when I saw the rain but it was okay because thankfully it was still there."

The rainbow house as now gone viral, with Nikki's Facebook post shared more than 4,500 times and boasting upwards of 5000 likes.

Nikki said: "Since it's been finished I can't believe the reaction there has been. People have been stopping by the house to take pictures and it's gone absolutely nuts online. It's crazy.

"It is so nice to see other people walking past and smiling. It's worth it for that."
